The Netherlands Institute for Law and Governance (NILG) is offering young researchers (doctoral candidates) an exceptional opportunity to exchange ideas and present their research at an international and interdisciplinary forum.
Conference details
The European Union faces a multitude of challenges and crises from migration to financial and monetary stability. In this forum doctoral candidates from across Europe will present their research to discuss theoretical and practical implications of the current crises on law and governance in the EU. The programme consists of a key-note lecture by Prof. dr. Christian Joerges and six panels on:
- The Future of the Economic and Monetary Union
- Governance of the Economic and Monetary Union;
- Free Movement and EU Citizenship
- Economic Governance after the Crisis;
- Theory, Courts and Crisis;
- The Rule of Law in a Crisis-Ridden Union.
We will have speakers from universities across Europe including the Hertie School of Governance Berlin, University of Oxford, University of Groningen, Université Paris II (Panthéon-Assas), UCLan Cyprus, Eötvös Loránd University Budapest, and the European University Institute Florence.
